Java Jazz Festival 2010: Toni Braxton to Perform for Special Show

48 million records were sold worlwide. 6 Grammy Awards. One of the loveliest soulful voice in low register contralto vocal range. We combine these all, and we got Toni Braxton. Yes, Toni Braxton has confirmed to perform at AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2010 for a Special Show.

Toni Michelle Braxton, or simply we know her as Toni Braxton was one of the biggest star throughout the 90’s. No one would forget her greatest hit, “Un-break My Heart” (written by Diane Warren who will also come at the Java Jazz Festival 2010), the beautiful ballad that becomes her signature song until now. Hits after hits have led her to success, making her stands as one of the best R&B/soul female artist in the world.

It was all began in the late 80’s by a group called The Braxton, where Toni joined her four sisters. But her fame started to bloom when she decided to go solo, by releasing her self-titled debut album in 1993 which was produced by Babyface, Reid and Daryl Simmons. Some hits came from this album such as “Breathe Again” and “You Mean The World to Me” (Babyface was involved on writing both songs). This album also gave her several awards, including three Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards. The second album was released 3 years later, successfully brought her higher than ever. “You’re Makin’ Me High”, the unforgettable “Un-break My Heart” and also “How Could an Angel Break My Heart” (ft Kenny G) were the hits from this album.
After having some problems with her health, it’s great to know that Toni Braxton is ready to make a big come back. We believe 2010 will be a tremendous year for Toni. Following the released of her brand new single, “Yesterday” ft Trey Songz, her new album is coming very soon. And how wonderful it will be to have some taste of it at Java Jazz Festival 2010. Also, who knows, there might be a sweet reunion with Babyface who will also appear at this amazing jazz festival. One thing for sure, it’s going to be great to see Toni Braxton live right in front of you! Make sure you won’t miss her performance!
